Éclat
Éclat unfolds within the tension between light, color, and darkness. In playfully arranged still lifes, flowers, leaves, and fragments of material emerge in brief moments of illumination. Light does not mark a fixed state but a transition - an instant in which visibility itself becomes an event. The source of light remains indeterminate. Moving across the scene, it allows certain forms and colors to suddenly appear while others remain suspended in darkness. In this way, fleeting moments of heightened presence arise - éclats - in which color and form flare up before dissolving again into the surrounding dark. The series approaches the still life as a site of concentrated perception, where light, color, and darkness enter into an open interplay and photography becomes a medium of fleeting visibility.
