Work description and art-historical context
The individual image does not capture a spectacular moment, but a state of collectedness. Cloud formations, conditions of light, and atmospheric transitions converge into a quiet composition in which the sky itself becomes the bearer of meaning. The ephemeral gains weight without surrendering its lightness. Through a reduction to sky and expanse, a contemplative space opens. The gaze lingers, without seeking an endpoint. The image becomes a field of resonance in which outer landscape and inner mood interpenetrate. The photographic gesture follows less the desire to depict than the attempt to render a timeless stillness visible - a stillness that reveals itself only through prolonged, attentive looking.
