Work description and art-historical context
The images emerge from a world of decay, emptiness, and historical stasis. Abandoned architecture and nocturnal landscapes bear the traces of a vanished order. Yet this darkness remains unsealed. Through deliberate stagings, unexpected gestures, and a subtle form of humor, the morbid atmosphere is deliberately countered. It is precisely within this tension that a space of inner freedom takes shape. The work oscillates between dream and reality, between personal memory and collective history. It reveals not merely a place, but an inner topography in which the individual opposes the pressure of external reality with a self-determined, playful world of images.
