Bernd Weingart, born and raised in a small town in the former GDR, has lived and worked in Berlin since 1993. He is the winner of the North Rhine-Westphalia Award for Photography. In addition to his engagement with art history, a multitude of experiences and observations from his childhood form the starting points of his work.
